LactoZYME is a digestive enzyme formulation that works to help breakdown the main components of dairy products (lactose, protein, and fats).
In most cases, problems digesting dairy products are due to trouble breaking down ‘lactose ', a component in all dairy products. This is due to the body not producing adequate levels of the enzyme lactase. This inability to breakdown ‘lactose ' can cause painful gas, bloating, diarrhea, and other digestive upsets. LactoZYME contains the enzyme lactase to help with this problem.
However, for many people, lactose is not the only problem. As dairy is a complex food that includes carbohydrates, protein and fats, there are some who find that adding the lactase enzyme is not enough to help their digestion of dairy based foods. This is because they are also having difficulty breaking down the fats and proteins contained in dairy.
LactoZYME also contains the digestive enzymes lipase and protease that work to enhance digestion of the fats and proteins contained in dairy. This makes it a highly effective product for those who suffer from lactose intolerance.
